Periopman’s History

PeriopMan (Manchester Perioperative Medicine Society) was officially launched on 18th November 2016 as a national collaborative Society of Perioperative Medicine, which allows us to optimise & maximise the available resources and the core elements of best practice in Perioperative Medicine.

PeriopMan has been organising some of the most popular national events in Perioperative Medicine over the best part of a decade which are CME accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The inaugural PeriopMan meeting was conducted in Autumn 2013 as a small event within Central Manchester Hospital and has grown on to greater heights ever since. Other than our signature annual event, that usually happens in Autumn, we also conduct regular CMEs on Perioperative Medicine at varying intervals throughout the year. We are also pleased to note that the Greater Manchester’s ‘Healthier Together Programme’ has endorsed PeriopMan.
